Metallurgical and Acid Grade Fluorspar — available in lump, powder, and briquette forms.
Acid-Grade Fluorspar (Acidspar)
- CaF₂ content: ≥ 97% — the purest grade
- Primary uses: Production of hydrogen fluoride (HF) and hydrofluoric acid, essential for refrigerants, fluorocarbons, Teflon-type polymers, and pharmaceuticals. Also used in aluminium fluoride production, aluminium smelting, and specialized optical components.
Metallurgical-Grade Fluorspar (Metspar)
- CaF₂ content: Approximately 60–85%
- Primary uses: Flux in steelmaking to reduce melting points and remove impurities such as sulphur and phosphorus. Also used in aluminium, ferroalloy production, and cement blends.
Ceramic-Grade Fluorspar
- CaF₂ content: Approximately 85–95%
- Primary uses: Improves clarity, lowers melting points, and enhances strength and thermal resistance in glass, enamel, and ceramic manufacturing.
